Crafts America uses the Juried Arts Services system for applications to our shows. A downloadable, printable "paper" application in MS Word format is also available, but this method will incur additional costs for the applicant. We highly recommend that you utilize the online system in order to streamline the application process.

Applications for the 2009 Washington and Westchester shows will be available beginning December 1, 2008.

The 2009 Palm Beach Fine Craft Show will take place March 20-22, 2009.

Crafts America shows are open to all craft artists who reside and work in the United States. All work must be well conceived and expertly executed in the U.S. It also must be made by hand or with the use of appropriate tools. Whether one-of-a-kind or limited production, work should reflect the individuality of the artist.

 

Crafts America booth fees vary for each show. Please refer to the application form for each show, or contact Crafts America directly at 203-254-0486.

 

Jurors' selections are based on the level of technical skill, quality of workmanship, and originality of design as represented in images submitted. Juried work represents a broad spectrum of media, technique, and creative design. However, only the following categories of contemporary fine art are eligible:

  Basketry
Ceramics
Fiber Wearable
Fiber Decorative
Furniture
Glass
Jewelry
Leather
Metal
Mixed Media
Paper
Wood

Categories not accepted: calligraphy, fine arts such as painting, photography, lithography, etc., except when incorporated into an otherwise acceptable craft category; dried flower arrangements; pressed flowers; seed and pod decorations; cut bottles and embellished objects such as painted boxes, stones, shells, buttons. Objects made from commercial kits or commercially available plans are also not acceptable.

 

Cash awards will be presented in recognition of outstanding work at the show. See each show's "General Information" page for more.

 

Show security will be provided on premises both day and night, however, each artist exhibits at his or her own risk and should carry appropriate insurance.
